May Spotlight Students

For the last day of the 2023-2024 school year, we're celebrating each senior with an individual spotlight! Here are our May Reedy Prelude senior spotlights!


Cristian Yohannes

Reedy Orchestra senior president Cristian Yohannes plays the viola in the Symphonic Orchestra. After high school, he plans to study viola performance at Eastman School of Music. His favorite memory is bonding with his friends and his blue mushroom hat, passed down from past orchestra seniors. His parting advice is, "Always give 100%, GO PRACTICE." Finally, his favorite quote is, "A one is a one" from past Reedy Orchestra members Sean Macfee and Kent Hikima.



Hannah Jung

Senior Hannah Jung plays the violin in the Symphonic Orchestra. After high school, she plans to study Public Health at Baylor University. Her favorite memory of orchestra was going on the Reedy Orchestra Disney Spring Trip during her sophomore year. Her parting advice is, "Don't compare your strengths and weaknesses with other people." Finally, her favorite quote comes from the Bible verse Jeremiah 29:11 which says, "'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'"

Emily Markose


Senior Emily Markose plays the Violin in the Sinfonia Orchestra. After high school, she plans to study Biology at The University of Texas at Dallas. Her favorite orchestra memory was attending the Halloween Social in her sophomore year, and her parting advice is, "Make the most out of everything you do!" Finally, her favorite quote comes from Mark Manson who says, "Who you are is defined by what you are willing to sacrifice."



Brookellyn Lesnau


Senior Brookellyn Lesnau plays the cello in the Camerata Orchestra. After high school, she plans to study Biology at the University of North Texas. Her favorite orchestra memory is the Reedy Orchestra Disney Spring trip. Her parting advice is, "Don't be afraid to step out of your box and try something new." Finally, her favorite quote comes from Billie Joe Armstrong who says, "Attack your instruments. Don't let them attack you."



Anjana Amarneethi


Senior Anjana Amarneethi plays the Bass in the Sinfonia Orchestra. After high school, she plans to study Supply Chain Management at The University of Texas at Dallas. Her favorite memory is the Reedy Orchestra Disney Spring trip and her parting advice is, "There is always always always something to be thankful for." Finally, her favorite quote is from Eliud Kipchage who says, "No human is limited."
